What changed since the previous submission: the age gate is no longer a yes/no affirmation. The applicant must now enter a full date of birth as MM/DD/YYYY. An applicant under 21 is blocked and cannot submit the application, and therefore can never reach the SMS consent step. This is enforced on the server, not only in the browser.

2. Under 21 is blocked

Entering 06/15/2010 fails the gate. The application cannot be submitted and the applicant never reaches SMS enrolment. Verbatim error: “You must be at least 21 years of age to open a wholesale account.” The same rule runs server-side on woocommerce_register_post, so it cannot be bypassed by disabling JavaScript.

3. 21 or older is accepted

Entering 03/09/1990 clears the gate. Only then can the applicant tick the separate, unchecked SMS consent box. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
